Every CSAM report immediately alerts our safety team by email. Accounts that reach the report threshold are automatically suspended pending review. A trained admin confirms each report before filing a CyberTip with NCMEC — ensuring only genuine violations are filed.

Zero Tolerance
No warnings. No second chances. No appeals. Accounts involved in CSAM are permanently banned and all data is preserved for law enforcement investigators.
Admin-verified enforcement
What happens when a report is filed
Every CSAM report is reviewed by a trained admin before any CyberTip is filed with NCMEC. Only confirmed violations are reported — deliberately filing a false report is a serious abuse of our platform and will result in an immediate permanent suspension of your account.

Safety team alerted immediately
Our safety team at csam@freerangegamers.com receives an immediate email alert with full details of every CSAM report — every report triggers an alert, not just those above the threshold.

Account suspended after threshold reached
Once 3 or more independent users report the same account for CSAM, it is automatically suspended pending admin review. A single report does not auto-suspend — this prevents bad actors from weaponising the report system.

Admin reviews the content
A trained admin reviews the flagged content to confirm whether it is genuine CSAM. Unconfirmed user reports are never filed with NCMEC — only verified violations are escalated.

CyberTip filed with NCMEC on confirmation
Once an admin confirms the content is CSAM, a CyberTip is filed via the NCMEC CyberTipline API, including user account details, IP addresses, timestamps, and any flagged media.

Data preserved for investigators
All account data, IP logs, and flagged content are preserved in full and held for law enforcement. Nothing is deleted until after investigators have access.

Permanent ban enforced
After confirmation and NCMEC filing, the account is permanently banned with no possibility of reinstatement.
Legal compliance
Our legal obligations under US federal law
Under the PROTECT Our Children Act (18 U.S.C. § 2258A), FreeRangeGamers is legally required as a registered Electronic Service Provider to report any apparent CSAM to the NCMEC CyberTipline. Failure to report is a federal crime. We take this obligation seriously and have built a mandatory admin-review workflow so that no confirmed report can be missed.

Mandatory Reporting
Every admin-confirmed CSAM violation is reported to NCMEC via the CyberTipline API. The law requires reporting of apparent CSAM — our admin review process ensures violations are never missed.

Data Preservation
We retain all relevant data — account info, IPs, media — for a minimum of 90 days after account deletion to support law enforcement investigations.

Full Cooperation
We cooperate fully with NCMEC, the FBI, and any law enforcement agency. Emergency disclosure requests are processed immediately at csam@freerangegamers.com.

Grooming, soliciting, or attempting to establish sexual contact with a minor through our platform.

Asking or pressuring a minor to produce or share sexual imagery of themselves.

Accounts for users under 18 require parental consent before activation. You can manage privacy settings, restrict who can contact your child, and enable private mode from the account settings page.

If your child encountered abuse content
Stay calm and reassure your child they are not in trouble. Do not ask them to re-show you the content. Report it immediately via the report button or by emailing

If your child has been groomed or solicited
Contact local law enforcement immediately and file a report with the
NCMEC CyberTipline. Preserve all messages — do not delete any accounts or conversations until instructed by law enforcement.

- Do not forward, share, or re-upload it — doing so is a criminal offence.
- Do not delete it — law enforcement may need the original file as evidence.
- If you downloaded it inadvertently, disconnect from the internet immediately.
- Report it via one of the channels below, then contact the FBI at tips.fbi.gov.

Use the report button on any guide, comment, or profile and select "Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)". Your report is immediately escalated to our safety team for review. If you do not have an account, email us directly at the address below.

Partnerships
Trusted flagger programme
FreeRangeGamers operates a formal trusted flagger programme for vetted child protection organisations, law enforcement agencies, and NCMEC ESP partners. Trusted flaggers receive elevated access that bypasses the standard 3-report threshold — a single report from a trusted source immediately suspends the target account and escalates directly to our safety team for priority review.

Platform accounts
Approved representatives are granted a dedicated FreeRangeGamers account with trusted flagger access. They can browse the platform, use the report button on any content, and access the child safety review queue directly. Reports filed from a trusted account are tagged with the organisation name and treated as high-priority.
🔑
API access
Organisations with automated detection systems can submit reports programmatically via our trusted-report API endpoint using a dedicated API key. Each report can include external case IDs, content hashes, and incident metadata. The API is authenticated per organisation and supports guide, user, and comment entity types.

Immediate action
Regardless of the submission method, a single trusted flagger report triggers immediate account suspension, a priority alert to our safety team, and escalation to the top of the admin review queue. Admin confirmation is still required before a CyberTip is filed with NCMEC.
To apply for trusted flagger status, email csam@freerangegamers.com with your organisation name, contact details, and your role (law enforcement, NCMEC ESP partner, IWF member, INHOPE hotline, or other authorised body). Applications are reviewed manually and credentials issued upon verification.
